Account Settings Overview

Manage your personal account settings including profile, security, and notifications.

Account settings control your personal Plotwise experience. These settings apply to you specifically, not to your organization.

Accessing Account Settings

Navigate to account settings:

  1. Click your profile avatar (top right)
  2. Select "Account settings"

Or use organization switcher → "Account settings"

Account Settings Sections

Profile

Your personal information:

  • Display name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Avatar/profile picture
  • Theme preference

Account vs. Organization Settings

Account settings follow you across all organizations. Organization settings affect everyone in that organization.

Quick Actions

Change Theme

  1. Go to Profile settings
  2. Select Light or Dark theme
  3. Changes apply immediately

Update Phone Number

  1. Go to Profile settings
  2. Enter new phone number (E.164 format: +1...)
  3. Save changes

Change Password

  1. Go to Security settings
  2. Enter current password
  3. Enter new password
  4. Confirm new password
  5. Save

Common Tasks

Update Email Address

  1. Go to Profile settings
  2. Enter new email
  3. Verify new email via link sent to inbox
  4. Old email removed after verification

Enable Two-Factor Authentication

  1. Go to Security settings
  2. Click "Enable 2FA"
  3. Scan QR code with authenticator app
  4. Enter verification code
  5. Save backup codes

Adjust Notifications

  1. Go to Notifications settings
  2. Choose alert channel
  3. Select event scopes
  4. Configure digest if desired
  5. Save
